Seriously thinking bout upgrading to this atm,but which one do I get.Ive seen an upgrade edition on amazon for 68 quid,this is the cheapest option but is it the best.
Also does anyone know the cheapest place to get a copy from???

good idea mate,but I dont know anyone whos still at college :(

Found it pretty cheap tho,but Im confused with versions and prices.This is what Ive found:
Windows Anytime Upgrade what does 'upgrade' mean sounds crap cause its only 46 quid .Sounds better to me to go for the full version which I have found for 79 quid but whats the differance??

The 1. one you found for 46 is just a upgrade from Win7 Starter --> Win7 Home Premium. :-P
You need the 2 one...

I just installed Windows 7 and all stuff that comes with it :D looks freakin amazing, still trying to get a hang of it but it looks way more fun than XP :D not to mention DX10 :D most games looks so nice 8)

dont buy an upgrade m8, they've altered it so that you have to have the old os on the hdd before it will work instead of just inserting the disk, this is a right pain in the backside if you want to swap to 64bit like i did with vista :shock:

no thanks lol I got 32bit version and its a handfull for my PC, 64 demands more resources which i do not have atm :)

how much ram? - i recommend at least 2 GB even for 32bit... ram will be your bottleneck as [technically] you only need a 1ghz CPU to run W7...

Ner, have you tried adjusting windows7 for best performance? (It's in advanced systems settings)

I got 2 gigs of 800 mhz ram and 2.94GHz dualcore 8) havent done any adjustments yet, trying to sort out my sound problems - only 2 front speakers work of all 5.1 system :s
