Ok, i'm 2 hours into this now and it's just starting lol. Actually enjoying it alot if i'm honest. Surprised actually cause last console Final Fantasy i bought was 8 on the PS1, besides that i got Final Fantasy 3 Remake on DS 2 years ago. Anyway FFXIII seems alot more straight forward gameplay wise, not as overwhelming as most RPG's (i tend to stray from this genre cause of being overwhelmed) but so far it's held my hand gameplay wise and plays like a linear game but it works.

I can see it maybe alienating typical FF fans maybe or whatever but i'm loving it. Alot more cinematic than any FF i've seen too.

Surprisngly one of the most pretty games i've seen. Especially surprised at that based on Square Enix's current gen portfollio and RPG's in general.
