Just completed the Campagn there so i can dedicate Bad Company 2 time to online :) I really enjoyed it, the destruction just adds so much to the battles :D Looking forward to Bad Company 3 hehe. Enjoyed the Dialogue alot more in the sequal as i thought the first one tried to hard to be funny and failed but this does it in bits and bobs and pulls it off.

lol havent touched the singleplayer, always seems an anti-climax to the online.

Online its great tho mate, just remember to join a squad makes it a hell of a lot more fun and as long as someone in your squad is alive you always get straight into the action.

most satisfying thing Ive done so far was getting shot at by a blackhawk chopper and all I had was me sniper rifle. So I shot the guy on the gun, then took out the pilot and down come the chopper...........very nice!

More 22g members should get this game :) Hooligan and i is having so much fun with the apc's tanks and other vehicles :)

Last nite we took a apc and have some other players equipped with som cordless drills (repair tool). Two ppl in the apc and two repairing it.
We totaly raped their base and we managed to stay alive in approx 15 mins before we moved over to the next base wich they had spammed with antitank mines but it was worth it :D
Today we did some grand theft tank. Stole an enemy tank as he was repairing it and drove over him and did the same as with the apc until they got pissed and spammed a mortar strike at us :)

virus is right would be nice to see a few more 22g'ers get this,it is a good game but has a pretty steep learning curve. And yes its another game where ya gotta rank up but it dont take too long to get the decent toys, cause once ya have mines for your engi your points start to rack up with tank kills,multi-kills etc.Or you could try your hand at sniping, unlike other games (modernwarfail2) this game rewards ya for how long/tricky the shot is.Got 700 points last night (which is a lot usually 50 for a kill ) for sniping 2 enemies of a moving ATV with one bullet. They were coming straight towrds me tho,and had to take some major evasive action to get out the way of their out of control ATV.

opps!just noticed my average life is going down, but my K/D ratio is goin up :D :D

Short answer: 'hassle' theres no dedi server files,EA/DICE only let ya use certain companies and ya have to contact EA/DICE to get permission and be added to their list.

long answer from EA:
A lot of buzz has been floating around the internet lately about dedicated servers and we wanted to make sure our all our players have the best understanding of how Battlefield will be played on the PC. Since Battlefield 1942 DICE has used dedicated servers for all platforms. This formula has worked well, and still works well, for us and for the gaming community. We have stayed true to this practice and will continue this tradition into the upcoming title Battlefield Bad Company 2.

Other games use player-hosted or 'peer to peer' solutions, often resulting in a "host with the most" situation; where the player hosting the match has an advantage over other players connected to their game. Everyone else is dependent on the host's internet connection and if they don't have a great connection neither will you regardless how great of an internet you have. Also, unless server migration is implemented the game ends when that hosting player quits the game forcing you to find another player-host or start your own. With dedicated servers everyone gets non-stop action with no connection penalties based on some other player and their internet. This makes dedicated servers the best solution for online PC gaming hands down! So rest assured PC players, Battlefield will stay true to its roots offering dedicated servers to all its players and continue the tradition of the ultimate FPS gaming experience!

I can give you answer to that. The dedicated servers is only available through ea trusted partners.
You cant host a server on your own hardware, you have to rent it through a gamehosting company.
This is to stop the piracy of the game so they cant play it online.
On Battlefield 2 you could host your own server but the ranked ones was only available through ea trusted gamehosts.
You could modify the exe files so the server did not check your serial nr on your game.

The Bf Bc2 servers comes with no ftp acces what i've heard due to this.

I have been looking at renting one 32 slot server through multiplay.co.uk the prize is about £38 per month.
I going to look if the gaming soicety i'm in will help me out with the payment and if it goes well 22g members and everyone else is free to play on it :)

Btw thanks crowley for the help of buying the game at me. It's well spended money :)
