Anyone tried it?

It's not bad, only one map to play but you spend about 5 - 10mins waiting searching for games. Not sure why they've made it like for demo cos i'm sure full version is having dedicated servers

Playing as the Marine is bit scary but he moves really slow.

Hmm.. been looking at the screenshots a while back - looks scary!
Need to look for a dl link then i guess... gona report back if i found a good one to share.

Downloading this the now, kinda gutted it's not a single player demo. I'm interested in trying that out cause i dunno how to take it anymore. Guy demonstrating Predator footage made it look dull lol.

oh man....this gonna go the same as MW2 without the dedis.Its got the same prob with hit-reg,and trying to grab someone when your an alien is more down to luck cause of this shitty peer2peer crap.
Marine was just as bad,aliens seem to be invicable while they lunge(just like commando stab lunge IN mw2) all cause of the crappy lag.
Its a shame cause playing as an alien is pretty good fun grabbin peeps and chopping their heads off.Playing as a marine was pretty good as well,pretty atmospheric and I was finding myself panicking a bit when my motion tracker started goin off.

just another game dumbed down by the console market tho,when are these devs gonna wake up and realize they cant keep shovelling out these lazy ass console ports.

Ok i finally got into a game and it papped me with a Alien.

When it came on surprisngly lag free despite all the troubles and i kicked arse with the Alien, even took down a few predators but man that was one of the most boring disappointing demo i've played in ages. The graphics were kinda mince too but LOL i kept getting frights in the demo when i saw a tail...it was always mine but i always thought i was a gonner.

Hopefully i get another game as a Marine or Predator cause the Alien is downright awful in my opinion. no satisfaction from any impalings or head slices i got. Just didn't seem as cool as i thought it sounded. Really surprised they chose a multiplayer demo over single player...especially the day Battlefield MP Demo is out for us PSers lol.


Also apprently it is dedicated servers the full game, just it's crappy matchmaking for quick demo purposes Rebellion said.

For those who like their special editions there's an HMV exclusive Hunter Edition which includes a model of a Facehugger.

I began hating this despite loving previous 2 but now i love the demo as mediocre as it is lol.

Gonna wait for reviews to see how each campagn is cause its really single player i'm intrested in. Looks a fun special edition but too pricey.

the demo is a 9 month old build,so Ive got my fingers crossed that the finished product is gonna be a lot more polished.............I know the PC is having proper dedis so its already got a few brownie points from me.

Same as you tho del,Im waiting for the singleplayer reviews cause thats what Im looking forward to most.

Special edition is tempting only 15 quid more than than the standard edition,and Im loving the face hugger and artwork....tempting

i installed it, tried a few times to get ingame & gave up

the dm element put me off tbh as its not very often you get a dm game as good as hl2dm, quake etc ..for me, id buy it for the single player side. the online part would be a 2nd choice.

ill wait till i hear comments from others before i buy it i think..

i have a friend who has an original face hugger ..cost him a fortune
